Tubular Ball Mill and rod mill

图片
As crushing only does not generally liberate a mineral processing plant , further size reduction is usually required. This is achieved by grinding the crushed ore in tubular mills or devices like pan mills or roller-grinder mills. Intubular mills, a grinding media such as steel balls, rods or hard pebbles, impart the forcesrequired for size reduction. On rotating a mill charged with rocks and grinding media, theentire charge rises against the perimeter of the mill in the direction of motion. On reaching acertain height, part of the charge cascades and falls to the bottom of the mill, the other parttends to slips down but soon travels in the direction of motion of the mill. During this process, the media drops repeatedly on to the rock breaking down its size. Some size reduction also takes place due to abrasive forces. As a result of the combined action of repeated impact and abrasion over time, size reduction takes place and given sufficient time the mineral of interest is liberated. ...

Roll crusher and HPGR

图片
Roll crushers consist of two or more adjacent rolls placed parallel to each other and rotated in opposite directions. Single roll crushers are also available which rotate a single roll against a fixed breaker plate. Mineral or rock particles placed between the rolls are nipped and then crushed as they pass between the rolls. Rolls are held against each other by springs. Roll crusher structure Two types of roll crushers are generally designed. In the first type both rolls are rigidly fixed to a frame with provision for adjusting the lateral position of one of the rolls to control the gap between them. Once set these rolls are locked into place. One roll is attached to the driving mechanism while the other rotates by friction. Single roll crushers are also available which rotate a single roll against a fixed breaker plate. In the second type, at least one roll is spring mounted which forms the driving roll, the other roll rotates by friction (Fig.1). Fig1. Schematic Dia...

Gyratory and Cone Crusher

图片
Gyratory crushers were invented by Charles Brown in 1877 and developed by Gates around  1881 and was referred to as a Gates Crusher . The smaller form is described as a cone crusher. The larger crushers are normally known as primary crushers as they are designed to receive run-on-mine (ROM) rocks directly from the mines. The gyratory crushers crush to reduce the size by a maximum of about one-tenth its size. Usually metallurgical operations require greater size reduction, hence the products from the primary crushers are conveyed to secondary or cone crushers where further reduction in size takes place. Here the maximum reduction ratio is about 8:1. In some cases installation of a tertiary crusher is required where the maximum reduction is about 10:1. The secondary crushers are also designed on the principle of gyratory crushing but the construction details vary. Similar to jaw crushers, the mechanism of size reduction in gyratory crushers is primarily by the compressive action of...

Jaw crusher and its circuit

图片
Jaw crusher is a kind of common mining machine .in a  beneficiation plant , the first stage of size reduction of hard and large lumps of run-of-mine (ROM) ore is to crush and reduce their size. Softer ores, like placer deposits of tin, gold, mineral sands etc. do not require such treatment. Large scale crushing operations are generally performed by mechanically operated equipment like jaw crushers, gyratory crusher and roll crushers. For very large ore pieces that are too big for receiving hoppers of mechanically driven crushers, percussion rock breakers or similar tools are used to break them down to size. The mechanism of crushing is either by applying impact force, pressure or a combination of both. The jaw crusher is primarily an compression crusher while the others operate primarily by the application of impact jaw crusher structure Jaw crushers are designed to impart an impact on a rock particle placed between a fixed and a moving plate (jaw). The faces of the plat...

oxidized gold ore leching mineral processing operation

图片
Figure 1 depicts a flowsheet for processing free-milling oxidized gold ore. The kinetics of gold leaching is slow, and gold ores are frequently ground to less than about 75 μm before leaching. Even then, one day is usually required in the leaching step. In this process, run-of-mine ore is crushed and ground. The ball mill discharge in subjected to gravity concentration to recover the larger particles of free gold. The tailings from this operation are thickened, and the underflow from the thickeners is then subjected to cyanide leaching. In some instances, ores may contain oxygen-consuming minerals, such as pyrrhotite and marcasite, and a preaeration step may be conducted ahead of cyanide leaching. Fig1.Flowsheet options for grinding and agitated leaching of free-milling oxidized gold ores Heap leaching has revolutionized the gold mining industry. Low-grade oxidized ores containing approximately 0.03 oz gold per short ton of ore can be processed with this technology, whereas...

Copper sulfide ore mineral processing operation

图片
The flowsheet describing the flotation processing of a copper ore containing chalcopyrite and molybdenite is shown in following figure . After grinding and classification, pulp is fed to rougher flotation machine .The rougher tailings are thickened and sent to a tailings dam. The rougher concentrate is classified, and the oversize is reground. Hydrocyclone overflow is fed to cleaner flotation machine, and the cleaner concentrate is recleaned. Cleaner tailings are recycled back to rougher flotation, and the recleaner concentrate is thickened and sent to the molybdenum recovery plant for further processing. In this operation, the feed contains 0.32% Cu and 0.03% Mo. Rougher concentrate, cleaner concentrate, and recleaner concentrate contain 7% – 9% Cu, 18% Cu, and 25% Cu, respectively. Recleaner concentrate also contains 2% – 3% Mo. Flowsheet of Copper sulfide ore mineral processingplant Sinonine Technology Team sinonine can also provide  sand washing plant  epc....

Tin ore mineral processing plant operation

图片
The following figure  shows an integrated circuit demonstrating crushing, grinding, size separation, and gravity concentration of a tin ore. Initial size separation is effected with a grizzly set at 1 1 / 2 -in.  Oversize  material is fed to a jaw crusher set at 1 1 / 2 -in., and the crushed product is, then, further reduced in size  to 20 mesh by ball mill . The – 20-mesh material is classified by hydrocyclones set at 150 mesh, and  the – 150 mesh material is sent to shaking tables to concentrate the heavy tin mineral, cassiterite. The  middlings in this process receive additional treatment. The concentrate from this operation is reground  and sized at 200 mesh. Two-stage vanning is used to produce a fine tin concentrate. Flowsheet of Tin ore mineral processing plant Sinonine Technology Team sinonine can also provide  sand washing plant  epc.

Beneficiation process system

A machine working in a mineral process flow cannot perform better then the process environment will allow it to.Parameters like type, size and amount of feed, % solids in slurries, additives, discharge conditions etc. will always guide mining machine performance and operationeconomy. There is a strong trend amongst both suppliers and users to work in terms of systems, meaning solutions to various operation problems more than installing equipment. System Levels in Minerals Processing plant System Levels in Rock Processing System Modules – Aggregates A good way to understand and work with beneficiation plant process systems is to use system modules in various combinations. Mineral processing technology-Upgrading

图片
In a mineral processing plant, With upgrading we understand, the further processing of the final products from the enrichment stages in a process. This is valid both concerning the valuable minerals (the concentrate) and the waste minerals (the tailings). In the first case upgrading means improving the product value by bringing the concentrate to transportability or into a completely dry form. Processing can also go further to calcining and sintering. On the tailing side upgrading means that waste material (wash water, process effluents etc.) is properly taken care of in order to protect the environment, to recover process water and to turn certain portions into valueables. Upgrading by operation costs Upgrading has its price, increasing with the energy input for removal of the process water (or process liquid). Curves above must always be considered when we are selecting equipment for an upgrading circuit for concentrate drying or disposal of a washing effluent. ...
