1. Application and Characteristics
1. Application and Characteristics
(1) This machine belongs
to deep-groove-type gas-filled mechanical stirring floatation machine with two
types in design: XCF-type with ore pulp sucking capacity, KYF without ore pulp
sucking capacity. If these two machines are used jointly, that is, the first
trough in each operation is provided with XCF floatation machine, and other
troughs are provided with KYF floatation machine, horizontal configuration is
arranged among the operating units, foam returning does not need foam
pump. If the KYF floatation machine is used independently, ladder
configuration is required among various operation units, and foam returning
needs foam pump.
This
machine is appropriate for rougher flotation and selection operation in large
and medium-sized concentrating mill, which can select non-ferrous metals,
ferrous metals and non-metal minerals with selected material particle scope of
0.3~0.01mm(-0.074mm, content of size fraction >50%).
(2) This machine
features in simple structure, convenient maintenance, light abrasion and stable
and reliable operation. Since this machine adopts the following techniques
including dual frustum-shape impeller with single-wall rear blade, multi-pole
cylindrical gas distributor, suspended stator as well as advanced air weight
and liquid level automatic control technique, so it is characterized by strong
air dispersion power, sound fixed suspension, low energy consumption, stable
liquid level as well as high selection efficiency.
2. Structure
and Operation Principle
(1) Structure
The
structure of the KYF floatation machine is shown in the Figure1, the impeller
machine is composed by the impeller , hollow principal
axis , gas distributor , bearing body and etc. and the structure of
the XCF floatation machine is shown in the Figure2, compared with the KYF
floatation machine, only renew the impeller , add pipe , centre tube ,
cover plate , centre mining tube and feeding tube. The impeller organ
is installed on the beam of the trough, which is drove by the triangle belt
through electrical machine. The section of KYF impeller shows dual reversed
cone shape with 8 backwards blades. XCF blade added with upper blade, and the
air distributer is cylindric with tiny holes on the perimeter in the center of the
impeller; the stators are assembled in four blocks with 4-8 radial blades in
each block, which are arranged above around the impeller, and the support is
adopted to fix them on the bottom of the trough.

(2) Operation
Principle
When
the impeller of the KYF floatation machine rotates, the ore pulp within the
trough absorbs to the blades of the impeller through the bottom of the impeller
from all corners, and when the impeller of XCF floatation machine
rotates, the ore pulp within the trough absorbs to the blades of the impeller
through the bottom of the lower blade of impeller from all corners, and the
upper blade of the impeller can pump feeding and middling. And when the ore
pulp is absorbed, the low-tension air generated by the air blower enters into
the air distributer in the impeller cavity through the hollow axle, and enters
into the impeller blade through the peripheral holes in the distributor. The ore
pulp and air blend fully among the blades of the impeller, which is discharged
in the top half of the impeller, the ore pulp discharged in on the inclined
top, it enters into the principal ore pulp in the trough through the stator
installed on the inclined top around the impeller after stable flow and fixed
orientation.

Device Installation and Debugging
(1) The components of
the principal axle are assembled in the manufactory, before assembling, check
various components to ensure whether they meet the design demands or not and
whether the axle is curving or not. The big leather belt wheel and the impeller
should realize static balance testing according to the technical requirements
in the drawings;
(2) After accomplishment
of assembling of the impeller unit, four-hour test on empty operation should be
realized before leaving the factory, the floatation machine should rotate in
the clockwise direction, and in operation, check the bearing to ensure whether
it fevers or not, and the temperature of empty operation should be no more than
500C, and check the mechanical operation to
ensure whether it is smooth or not and whether there is abnormal phenomenon or
not;
(3) In case of field
installation of the flotation machine, each trough in each operation is
arranged XCF, and others KYF;
(4) In case of
installation in the production field, the trough installation should be stable
and firm, the down-flow weir and the upper surface of the beam should find
horizon;
(5) After the
installation, lift the components of the principal axle on the girder of the
trough to ensure the vertical between the principal axle and the beam, 0.1:100
is allowed in non verticality.
(6) The rim of the
impeller and the gap among the stators are adjustable, and the adjustable scope
is 20-95mm;
(7) The drawing template
is required horizontal homocentric, and flexible operation;
(8) The flashboard between
the middle box and rear mining box can be adjusted flexibly;
(9) The drawing template
bearing should add ZG-2 lubricating grease;
(10) In line with
technical configuration requirements, every two-six troughs form one unit,
connection of adjacent troughs as well as connection of feeding box, middle box
as well as the rear mining box with the troughs adopt bolt connection with 5mm
rubber mat on the joint, the rubber mat can stick to the wall of the trough
with 401 adhesion agent in advance without mine leakage in connection, and it
changes the site welded joint after agreement between the manufacturer and the
factory which uses it.
(11) After the
accomplishment of full assembling, empty operation proceeds, after it is
normal, fill water in the trough to realize continuous 8-hour operation, and
put it into operation after proof of no problems.
5.
Basic Conditions of the Flotation Machine
The
foundation of the flotation machine adopts two armored concrete girder which
has consistent flotation flow-sheet direction.
6.
Device Operation
(1) Open the fan for air
feed before driving the vehicle, and then drive flotation machine from the last
trough so as to avoid overload or pressure tank of the flotation machine;
(2) Parking should be
realized before full accomplishment of feeding, stop the floatation machine
from the first trough in the front and then the fan, parking does not need
releasing ore so as to maintain better ore pulp for the sake of the next
driving the vehicle;
(3) In production, in
line with selection requirements, give proper ore liquid level height, and
depend on the liquid level controlling device or motor-driven ore discharge
strobe to maintain required ore liquid level height;
(4) The aeration
quantity can be adjusted through gas inlet strobe according to the properties
of different ores and requirements of different selection operation;
(5) In operation, it
should check the temperature of the electrical machine and bearing, it should
inject oil into the lubricating point regularly to maintain the normal
operation of the device and civilized production;

Device Maintenance
(1) Fasten loose bolts
at any time and adjust the intensity of the triangle belt;
(2) Check and clean
principal axle and renew wear-out parts regularly;
(3) The overhaul and
dismounting of the principal-axle parts: Loosen A-shape butterfly valve
connection bolt, and adopt bearing body and beam unit to connect the anchor
bolt, adopt the top of the principal axis to suspend principal-axis parts to
vertically install it on the overhauling working support. And then remove
various components including big belt pulley, upper bearing gland, lower
impeller of the principal axle and flange. It suspends the principal axle,
up-pick and wash or renew various moving parts, after it is washed, install oil
thrower in advance, and install the upper bearing. The gland of the upper
bearing is installed on the principal axle, infuse lubricating Ca grease ZG-2
in installation, and then suspend the principle axis on the bearing body and
install bottom components in proper order. At last, install the big belt wheel,
realize the manual operation to rotate the leather belt wheel, and meanwhile
adjust the gap between the gland of the upper bearing and the bearing body so
as to ensure the proper operation of the principal axle. In case of no overhaul
on the working platform, it can proceed on the floatation machine trough after
ore drawing.
8.
Brand of Lubricating Oil and Grease
(1) Lubrication of the
gear case: Adopt N32 lubricating oil in summer and adopt N46 lubricating oil in
winter;
(2) Lubrication
of the electromotor: ZL-3 lubricating grease;
(3) Lubrication
of the fan: 10-20M0S2
oiling
agent;
(4) Lubrication of the
other parts: ZG-2 lubricating grease;
9.
Type Selection of Associated Draught Fan and Order of the Flotation Machine
(1)
Type
selection of the fan: The wind pressure of the fan depends on the specification
of the floatation machine; as to the confirmation of air quantity, the aeration
quantity of this type floatation machine can be adjusted between 0.1-1.7m3/m2.min,
the ferrous metal mine should be adjusted between 1-1.5m3/m2.min,
while as to phosphorite and hematite, between 0.1-0.5 m3
/ m2.min. The aeration quantity should be determined according
to the natures and selection methods of various mines and ores, and after
determination of the aeration quantity, the total air quantity is determined
according to the total area of the floatation machine, adopt this air quantity
with addition of a few coefficients to determine the fan volume. At present,
there is D-type fan used by the floatation machine manufactured in Hubei Fan
which can match this type floatation machine in our country, for example, the
fan matched the XCF-16 and KYF-16 are as follows: D85-21, D100-21, D120-21,
D150-21, D250-21, D300-21 and D400-21;
(2) In case of goods
ordering of the floatation machine, the used factory should provide flow
allocation plan to the manufacturer, and ensure the feeding party to provide
flow allocation plan to the manufacturer so as to ensure the quantity of the
floatation machine, feeding box, middle box, rear ore box as well as actuator
device, and also ensure some structural modification related to feeding party.
